I ESCAPED… is a series of films about real people who have escaped an ordeal and lived to tell the tale. From current stories like escaping Ukraine to terrifying stories, like escaping a shark attack, these films capture the strength and resilience of people who have come back from the edge.

I ESCAPED THE WAR IN UKRAINE
Yulia and her family made the dangerous journey to flee Ukraine when their home was bombed. Sadly, Yulia’s family was broken up when her stepfather wasn’t allowed to leave Ukraine, and they carried on their evacuation to Poland by foot. Yulia’s now started a new life in Berlin and has an inspiring outlook on life.

Freediver Anika’s life was in danger when she had her leg bitten to the bone by a shark. In this terrifying story, she recalls how her survival mode kicked and helped her get to the shore and stay alive.
